North Carolina Technical Assistance
First in Families of North Carolina offers technical assistance to all existing First in Families projects. For local projects, technical assistance is defined as a plan to enhance family support practices and are developed by local projects for the local projects. Technical assistance to FiF projects may consist of bringing in consultants and experts to share best practice models, or to aid in overall planning to enhance family support efforts in their community.
One outcome of all FiF/NC technical assistance activities ensures that individuals and families are supported and empowered to live in their communities.
Technical assistance staff meets with the local projects periodically to listen and have conversations around their needs. A plan is then written with the projects and TA staff secures and coordinates whatever training and/or information is needed.
