First in Families > Who is eligible?

Residents of Moore, Hoke, Richmond, Anson and Montgomery counties may apply to First in Families if they meet the following criteria:

• Disability (one or more of the following):

• children birth to 3 at risk for disabilities;
• children birth to 18 who have developmental disabilities or delays or emotional disabilities resulting in substantial functional impairments in 3 or more areas of major life activity;
• adults with developmental disabilities, including traumatic brain injury.

• Living situation: children or adults living with natural, adoptive or foster family, or independently (people in licensed group care are not eligible).
• Income: annual individual/family after-tax income not exceeding $65,000.
